Health ‘camps’ are a strategy adopted through nongovernmental organizations. It literally means that a team of health professionals ‘camps’ in an area to carry out limited health interventions. Against this backdrop, free health camps were conducted through Manav Seva Charitable & Medical Trust. This camp was one such special initiative to provide health care to meet the immediate health care needs of the community. Customized health camps were organized on a large scale during the Yatra. which provided comprehensive health services such as curative, preventive, promotive and referral to a large number of people in selected areas. Multi-disciplinary projects included gynaecology, paediatrics, ophthalmology, surgical services and etc., while other interventions were general in nature.
